A techno-finance professional with strong experience of 26 years in the financial services sector and over 10 years in corporate sector, Mr. Rakesh Kapoor is a science graduate. His academic achievements also include a Post Graduate Diploma in Sugar Technology from the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.

Mr. Kapoor has served as a Managing Director of IFCI Factors Ltd., New Delhi. This NBFC (Non Banking Financial Company) is in the business of Factoring Services and allied products i.e. short term receivable finance primarily a product for SMEs, both in manufacturing and service sector.

Mr. Kapoor has worked as a Chief General Manager of IFCI Ltd, New Delhi. He has represented IFCI on number of high level committees constituted by the Government of India regarding formulation/changes in the policy guidelines particularly relating to Sugar, Bagasse based Co-generation, Ethanol & textile sectors.

Mr. Rakesh Kapoor has also worked as a IFCI nominee on the boards of various assisted companies.
