Mr. V. Balasubramaniam

Director

Age – 83 years

Mr. Balasubramaniam began his career with the Indian Administrative Service in 1965. He was a Deputy Commissioner and a District Magistrate for 5 years.

He has been trained in the International Training Institute, Sydney and Agricultural College, New South Wales in Agricultural Extension. He has been a Director of Sericulture in Karnataka, Secretary to the Central Silk Board and the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles.

He was also a Director of the Mysugar Sugar Co., Asia of the International Energy Institute.

He has been working as Chairman of the International Sericulture Alliance and has also been a consultant to the Commonwealth Secretariat, London, UNDP and FAO. He has prepared several project reports & has successfully implemented the same in Zambia and Nepal.

He has been on the Board of The Ugar Sugar Works Limited since the last 5 years.
